Well, well, well. It seems the time has finally come when I can drop my more mature 'Notable' approach to gaming, and revert back to my original 14 year old self and let the fanboy inside loose again. Ofcourse, this has been three years in the coming, but that's not the point. I am now able to cheer, do a crazy dance and fart on the sales of Sony's consoles.

Ok, ok, it is impossible for me to completely revert to my original self as a Special Reserve uk'discussions' member, but I can still make use of the child within and say "Ner ner ner ner ner-ner!" to all the Sony fanboys out there.

You see, when I first joined these forums. I was a fanboy. It may be hard to believe for some of you who have seen my more 'fair' and open-minded posts of more recent years. But when I first joined here, I knew no greater pleasure than telling complete strangers why their system of choice was utterly crap. I liked nothing better than to boast about the Nintendo 64's 'better' hardware, the high quality games and the ability to have four players simultaneously without having to buy any stupid adaptors (which are still stupid).

Anyway, for the first time since I joined this online community, Nintendo's console sales have rocketed showing that Sony's defenses aren't entirely inpenetrable, and Nintendo still have claim to a stake in the market after all! Even as a Nintendo fan, I am still shocked by this news and am entirely hopeful that this will last.

But I fear it wont. For no sooner than everyone who is interested in their cheap deals and Metroid Prime has managed to get their units, the sales will revert back to their normal status, battling the Xbox for second place whilst Sony celebrate being back on top again. Sure, we'll most likely see a repeat performance in May when The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and the two versions of Ocarina of Time are released, as everybody knows, it is Zelda which sells Nintendo units nowadays, not Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby or Yoshi.

So anyway, my methanous gasses flow towards the Sony position in the sales charts whilst I enjoy my favourite console taking its rightful place at the number one spot, and I'll soon be back to my 'Notable' self. But in the mean time: I fink ps2 owners shuld b shot. da ps2 is crp n da qbe is da best. :D

Before, I would condemn every PSX exclusive game without even trying it - and multiformat games would always be better on Nintendo systems in my eyes.

Now, I'll play before I judge...and I still say Nintendo has the better quality system. But that's after giving each console (including Xbox and Dreamcast) a fair old go before comparing them.

But for now, mainly just in this topic, I'm letting the fanboy inside loose....U suk if u play gaystation HAHAHA!

Ah, I vaguely remember you in that phase Edgy. And, at the time, I would have agreed with you. At the time. SONY's prowess in almost every electronic department is unrivaled, even by Ninty. I used to be reasonably "hardcore" in my Ninty phase, having accumulated well over 100 Nintendo "Official" Magazines, and reading each one to a near religious degree. Not that I had the foresight to subscribe... I was 10 at the time though. Aha... Now I remember, the first game I bought was "Pokémon Stadium" with an N64, from SR, aswell as 3 subscribtions for me and my "friends" with free N64 controllers.

It's quite impossible to loose the feeling that you need to back your favourite console once you start, so I don't blame you.

So enjoy it while it lasts, because the big boys at Sony will soon regain their dominating status.

Heh, it is nice to point out all my PS2 owning friends that they have been finally defeated, although next week I'll probably eat my words.

Great post to read, very funny :-)
