One fine day in at Nintendo HQ something was brewing, something that would change gaming forever.
The gamescube was being made slowly but surely.
Will it be a smash well we'll have to wait and see.
While we are waiting we will take a look at some of the Gamecubes features.
Ok Nintendo have had their fair share of troubles, but it seems that the worst has past, I hope things work out for them, especially since the Gamecube is due for realise in spring summer 2002, so Nintendo have a lot of work to do to get it finished.
What does the Gamecube have that's different?
Well it has the ability for online gaming, which offers thousands of gaming opportunities, but with a disadvantage. If you wanted an upgrade for a game you've got which you can get for certain net compatible games you have to pay for some of the upgrades which means giving your credit card number over the internet, which can result in fraud.
What are the graphics like?
The graphics are top quality probably the best we are going to see in a console for another while.
Some of the water effects in the new wave race game are just out of this world.
The water effects have troubled many game producers, even Nintendo themselves.
But I think they've sussed it.
Also the graphics are so good that it really brings the characters and their surroundings to life.
When this console launches in spring/summer 2002 there will be no other console that will be even close to this high quality of graphics, except maybe the Xbox when it comes out.
What's the gameplay like?
If the gameplay is anywhere near as good as the graphics in this awesome machine the gamplay should be excellent.
Some of the titles due to be released along with the console are sequels but there are also some originals. Zelda has been a confirmed as a release on the Gamecube 'so that'll certainly go down well.
I also wonder if there will be anymore originals coming out for the Gamecube, because it's nice to see some originals. Consoles would not be any fun if all the games were sequels, sure we like a sequel here and there, but if we have too many it'll just spoil the console.
So lets cross our fingers and hope for the best.
I'm sure that the Gamecube will be a fine console, and will be right up there with the best of them.
But we'll have to wait till next year to find out, won't we?
