Yep, you do have multiple dreams each night, I read it in a book once. Someone called REM (Rapid Eye Movement) - no puns please, makes you dream and here's the timeline for your dreams:

Dream 1
An Hour Later...
Dream 2
50 minutes later...
Dream 3
40 minutes later...
Dream 4
30 minutes later...
Dream 5
20 minutes later...
Dream 6
10 minutes later
Wake Up

So, in fact, you can have up to 5 or 6 dreams per night, depending on how long you sleep. Here's a few freaky sleepy stories:

A woman slept continuously (in a half-coma) for 36 years. Her nails/hair still grew and when she awoke, she still looked the same. Her mother and two brothers were now dead. She lived for a further 48 years.

One man saw the death of Prime Minister Spencer Perval in his dream prior to the event.

One man lived on a tightrope for 6 months! On the rope, he balanced a toilet, a board to sleep on and his own body. Had he as much as turned over in his sleep, he would have fallen to his death. He survived to try an even stranger stunt, walking around France on stilts!

Yeah he died sadly.

It got to the stage when he was just saying:

*hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' *hiccup* 'kill me' ....etc

That guy from the Simpsons was based on him, and his family were proud for him to appear in the show.
