Neo won't be living in a dream world, he'll be in Nintendo's Cube world when 'The Matrix' is released on the GameCube some time in the future!!

That's right, GAMECUBE!! Another of the 'rival console's' exclusives will be appearing on the GameCube, at least according to the news section of this website. How can Special Reserve be wrong? Insiders are always leaking top secret information out into the open world, and it appears that the Cube will be getting possibly the greatest film ever made, in gaming form!!

This is great news for all Cube fans who were somehow being lured to the power of the X-box by the future release of this game, and being evily drawn away for a company that have always produced 'top quality familly entertainment gaming'!! I mean Nintendo of course!!

HA! Bill Gates must have thought he'd be getting all the glory, and EVEN MORE money due to the popularity of the original film. But he underestimated the power of the little people (or cubes in this case!), as the GameCube strikes again!! To reduce it's competition, and show Microsoft how games SHOULD be made!! Just like wah they've done with the Sega games, and the WHOLE Resident Evil series!!

NO, this is not a dream!! You do not need to wake up!! "This...is the world as you know it, TODAY!!!

Just as long as the Zelda GC, cartoony styled graphics aren't added to this game it should be a GameCube title to remember, just like many others will be!! After all, the GameCube HAS the power to produce brilliant graphics! It'll also show that the Cube DOES consist of a more serious side. And doesn't rely on 'kiddy', 'cartoony' and 'fun' games to produce the goods (like the stereotipical peple think)!

You all know Max Payne, and what a highly popular, great game that is amongst PC gamers. Esecially with the 'bullet-time' feature (first seen on 'The Matrix'), and the great 3rd/1st person shooter look when playing the game. And we know what Nintendo and Rare can do with first-person shooters (Goldeneye and Perfect Dark for example)!! So it should be one heck of a game to play and enjoy, again and again!! Especially if there's a multiplayer option setup inside the GS Building, just like on the film! With bullet-time, destruction, action, and everything!!

I just hope that the speculation of a GameCube version IS true, and that it won't take another 2 years to be at perfection. We all know that when you get the film-game transformation it doesn't always work out for the best. But I think (and hope) The Matrix will be an exception!! As one of THE games to look back on, if the GameCube is ever stopped in production, like the N64.

What do you think about the Matrix becoming a GameCube game? Will it be as great as the film? Will this game partially show what the GameCube has to offer to gaming-addicts?? Personally, I think YES!! It will be one of the greatest games ever made on the GameCube. Unless of course it isn't.

They may only be a part of Sega but they have produced some damn fine games, Sonic Adventure (both of them) and Phantasy Star Online to name but a few. So if they do go GC only it will be good news, if not it doesn't really matter as we will still be getting a nice inflow of Sega developed games for the console.

In addition, Sega are NOT an exclusive ninty developer as you claim... only Sonic Team has shown some interest in going GC only, and that's only one of 10 departments that make up Sega!

I was writing 'cube' once, and i probably started to write gamecube, then changed my mind, and didn't delete it right.
Hence 'gube' was written, someone (i think sibs) pointed it out, and the name stuck.

The recap of the content of the article, before my interpretation of it, was really aimed at people reading this who hadn't seen it in the news section, if that's what the 'i know' was for.

Now i just need to find some way f putting 'gube' in a tagline...

I KNOW!! Shiny helped with the Earthworm Jim games. I know they did it on no.2 on the SNES anyway. That was quite hard. But I always enjoyed playing it.

And why do you call you GameCube the 'gube'?? Why not 'GC', or the 'Cube'? I just think it's strange cuz you're the only one who does it. And you're also usually the first person to reply to my posts, thanks Dr. Duck.

Even if the company do make it though, x-box has a 6 month exclusivity clause in the contract for the game, so it won't arrive until at least half a year after x-box release for it to show on the gube (or ps2).

To summarise the article, for those who didn't read it, a computer company, Shiny, are currently only working on a matrix title. They're also advertising for a gube game programmer. Thus it is assumed they are set to convert the game to the gube.

That is the most likely explaination, but it's possible they just have something else in the pipeline nobody knows about that they want on the gube. Or they're trying to get attention without being obvious or spending money by triggering these rumors. No publicity is bad publicity, et al.
Or it could be something else, there are a few possibilities, but i'd say that it is likely for the matrix game to show on the gube at some point, just not for a long time. And just because it's the matrix, it doesn't mean the game will be any good. Think about it, it's the only game the company are working on. (Possibly the first they've done, i don't remember). Doesn't guarantee success (or failure, to be fair).
