if the troops report no missing choppers to the public, then maybe it is just an iraqi attempt of boosting the morale of their people. i saw footage, and it's as if it is a tourist attraction, guards standing next to it with beaming grins. big deal. the coalition troops shoot up loads of iraqi vehicles and guards each day.
or MAYBE, just MAYBE the allies are hiding the fact that they lost a chopper, to try and show that we are winning, when maybe we're suffering - like the germans did in WWI. come on, its a possibility........
The fact they show casualties has absolutley nothing to do with the accuracy of their reports, of course.
Na, i just dont think that it is true atall...
British media doesn't show the Iraqi women, kids and men that get injued and killed in this war, nor does it show the Allied casualties..
Al-Jazeera does.
The government seems to think that they've automatically taken the moral high-ground when they denounce Al-Jazeera because it shows the Allied PoWs. Does the British government denounce Al-Jazeera for showing civilians injured, PoWs (from both sides) and the REAL devastation caused by the war = in Iraq. I don't think so.
The government/media (these days the same thing) only comment on what they want to.

So, you're saying you believe the Iraqi's then?
You're odd.
;o)
The British media, while legendary for our tabloids, are also internationally recognised for the quality of our "serious" (i.e. political, financial, war etc) reporting. During the Second World war it was British sources that the World listened to to ensure they were getting the truth.
Then we have Iraq. Legendary for thier use of propoganda. Need I say more?
