On my home page http://www. flamingolandcaravanhire. org.uk I have 1 broken internal link. The page which references the broken link is http://www. flamingolandcaravanhire. org.uk/contact.html.

There is 1 link on my website which leads to a REDIRECT
http://www. flamingolandcaravanhire. org.uk/caravan_hire.html gets directed to http://www. flamingolandcaravanhire.org.uk

Appreciate any help

Hi troutangler,
It looks as if you've already changed the home page name.
As Warhunt has access to your InstantPro account I'll leave things to him as it's easy for him to see what's going on :¬)

This may be of interest to you.
My InstantPro SEO tips, Freeola also went on to write a tutorial which I link to in my post.

OK so looking at the report (very early in the morning >_<) I can see that the source shows your "Home" nav option as linking to caravan_hire.html. This is why it occurs twice on every page (once for the nav, once for a hidden link within the banner/theme).

This is very simple to fix and can be done by updating the URL of the page title for your home page on the page manager section of InstantPro.
Page Manager -> Pencil icon next to "Home" -> Update URL

I'll look into the other bits one by one.

Hi Hmmm, Warhunt

I actually wrote out and tried to post the entire SEO report but it breached posting rules which I was unare of, like the 20 character rule.

At the outset I made major mistakes and left out Titles and Page Descriptions when I began to set up web pages. When I realised my mistake I began to create new web pages and deleted the old ones as I went along maybe this created the mayhem.

The report states the following:
Home page http://www.flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk
1 broken link
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /contact_process.php
The page which references the broken link is
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /contact.html

1 Link on my website which leads to a REDIRECT
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
gets directed to http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk

Pages which reference /caravan_hire.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /contact.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /availability.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /zoo.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /theme_park.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /terms_ conditions.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /gallery.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /facilities.html

of the 20 total links I have on my home page 2 are broken links

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
3 links are broken
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /contact_ process .php
(occurs once on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk/contact_ process.php
This webpage cannot be found.

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /availability.html
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_ hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /zoo.html
2 broken links
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk/caravan_ hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /theme_park.html
2 broken links
http:www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /terms_ conditions.html
2 broken links
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /gallery.html
2 broken links
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /facilities.html
2 broken links
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
(occurs twice on this page)

http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html
This webpage redirects all users (through HTTP Headers) to the following URL(s)

Since you are automatically redirecting everyone who visits
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk /caravan_hire.html to
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk/.
you should either change the referring link to
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk/ or put the contents of
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk/ here, and remove the header redirecting them to
http://www. flamingoland caravanhire .org.uk/.

This is the content of the full report. When I read it I went through all the html of each webpage to see if I could modify these broken links but I simply do not have the knowledge to do this.

I had to ask Freeola to put me back on the Web Pro Builder to even get to this stage as I have no understanding of FTP.

The contact us colour change at the foot of the home page was only meant to get a response.

Thanks for both of your previous comments. I would appreciate any advice on how I can get out of this mess.

Regarding the home page redirect.

This is how InstantPro sites work. Your home page is actually defined as caravan_hire.html so visitors to your domain get served that page as your home/default page.

As Warhunt says, you might get better feedback if you can explain your others question(s) a bit more unless others are able to answer.

I take it you've run some type of 'SEO report' off a website?
Perhaps show us the full results to see if they make sense?

Your contact page (both going directly to the URL and using the contact link from your navigation menu) works fine as far as I can see.

I notice you have a different coloured "Contact Us" at the bottom of your main text on the home page. Is this what you are referring to as it seems to be highlighted without reason at the moment?

Is this a question/statement or something different? You don't really state any relevant information. One page on your site redirects to the home page of the same site?

Elaborate, and perhaps help us understand your issue and we will try and help.
