A mate and i have been mulling over and experimenting with a problem we have regarding the same game ,jimmy white's cueball world. We have almost identical pc 's except that one runs a p4 2gig and one a p4 2.66 gig (same graphics, ram , monitor size, dx9 etc) except the game runs approx twice as fast on the 2.66 gig machine(making it unplayable, although the small video clips at the end of each game run fine as does the music). so q) is the difference in cpu speeds the prob? q) is there a max cpu speed for some games? (i might add that the older version of the game, jimmy white 2 , works fine).
Never heard of this issue before and so far the manufacturers have been no use....
any thoughts,
cheers,
davlam
