Go Gman! I can't be bothered to read what you wrote but I'm sure it was detailed, to the point and deeply fascinating.

;-)

And to answer the point about whether or not I would stop selling something just because it was unethical - yes I would.
Especially if kids were getting stabbed over little pieces of carboard I endorsed.
Especially if a small boy died choking on a toy which came from a product I, allbeit indirectly, created .
And especially if I could feed the entire third world for years on the profits I made from this rip off gear.

Yes, I bloody well would stop selling it.

I mean, kids are killing kids over this. Does making lots of money justify this? You could make lots of money selling cocaine. It's expensive, kills, and messed-up people like it. Kinda like Pokemon, eh?

Nintendo hasn't really innovated much in it's games or consoles. They continue making kiddy games (like Pokemon), and the consoles and Gameboys and such continue to be sub-par. Sure, they were fantastic before, but if they expect to be the best by putting out products that are, at best, a minimal effort. Why wasn’t there full motion video support on the N64?

The N64 was horrible. Even after the RAM upgrade, I still wasn’t impressed one bit. Hey! One bit! Just like the graphics!

I want either the X-Box or the PS2. Good games are something I expect.
/me wants Metal Gear Solid 2.

Sure it’s big, but is it good? Are the graphics at least okay? Decent sound along with that? Above all, does it have a good plot? Noooooooooooooo. It encourages certain types of kids to become detached from reality. You should see half the kids in my school. Yeeesh. That’s at least ten reasons for Nintendo to stop it, and to stop it NOW!

Did you know that: Pee Wee Herman was arrested. Oh no, not again!

Definitely. Same with Mario. It’s been fun, but it’s time to move on and make a NEW game. They basically put the same game out again and again, with a few more of the little freaks thrown in for good measure. But what’s this? Wow! They changed the names around a little!

Stadium- As if it wasn’t bad enough just on the Gameboy.

Pokemon Snap? SNAP?! WTF?! Take pictures. Of some of the most retarded creations in game history. Ewww. I’m really sick right now, so don’t tell me it was popular.

I don’t like Pokemon either. I’m here because someone told my there was a ‘If Pokemon were real…’ post. My God, I hate those. Why do they always pop up everywhere? WHY?!

Are you people so insecure that you look for happiness in a game that rewards you for capturing animals for use as tools to gain glory? All the Pokemon lovers I’ve met band together and ‘shun the disbelievers’. They fight little imaginary battles with each other and discuss the same damn anime things over and over again. How many times can you talk about the same episode, anyway?

One more thing. One of the movies has a message at the end. “Fighting doesn’t solve anything.” Well, that is pretty ironic, right? A world where disputes are settled with a glorified c***-fight? A world where such acts are not only normal, but encouraged? Oh me oh my!

People like it, people buy it.

Would YOU stop selling something because you didn't like it but was making millions from it?

Exactly.

I hardly think that's true, have you sen some of the games Nintendo releasing for the Gamecube?

But at the end of the day the Pokemon games are one of the biggest, if not the biggest selling games ever. Maybe they have been around for a while, but they still sell by the bucketload, there's no reason for Nintendo to just suddenly stop selling them.

sorry to upset you but don't you think that nintendo are flogging a dead horse?
the game wasn't that great in the first place it was just zelda with a few changes and the combat taken out.
then they release the same game in silver gold and crystal versions with a few changes to the storyline and new pokemon to catch.
and then you have pokemon stadium (a poor combat game)
and pokemon snap (oh dear whats the point?)

no doubt there will be version for the gamecube (yipee i cannot wait)
I thaugth that the games industry are constantly trying to improve the games that we get to play at home but nintendo remain in the ninties and wonder why their flagship console (n64) went under.
