I was shocked when I read that only 5% of computer games make a profit and yet we still only pay £20-30 for a game (some budget releases from just £9.99). But don't get me wrong thatsplenty £20-30 is plenty but if 95% don't make a profit out of the game itself how can you blame companies for charging a little more for. And when you think about you get about 30 hours of gameplay out of a game that represents £1 per hour, where else can you find that sort of entertainment that will cost you a mere £1 per hour? Nowhere I know anyway and for arcades, well you pay about 50p for a couple of minutes of gameplay. Perhaps instead we should jus tkeep buying games and stop moaning about prices, besides there are alot of great discount stores like Special reserve and there is always second hand shops around, oh and don't buy pirate vesions, otherwise you never know.....We might all end up playing board games instead!!!!

If games were half the price they are now, then with your money you would buy double the amount of games. Production cost is low, development cost is high. Therefore, if there are low licensing feew, and low game cost, then games could be cheaper and sell loads. End story.
