Ah well you always hear people yabbering on about how the UK has higher prices for stuff, including music.

Now lets take your average, new album at about a tenner.

Quite a bit for a skint teenager like myself... so is it worth those 1000 pennies?

Well I'd need to say it is, well if you buy something you like, I'm sure we've all made a little slip up once or twice.

Anyway this little moron in my Geography class was going on about:

"How we are sooooo ripped off with albums"

Well this stupid female buys Limp Bizkit, Stereophonics and Dido so SHE might have a point...

So I had an argument...

" She said it only costs a pound to make a CD "

Yeah so?

Well that means were paying nine pounds etc

How? I ask with astonishment...

Well it only costs a pound to make...

Yes well think you moron... it only costs pound to make as its in mass production, you pay the band a small amount for the time and effort to produce 12 glorious songs. You need to pay the record companies and such a fair bit, you help cover the artwork used, the advertising, the studio fees etc

Thats what it is... ten pounds for a small piece of art that you will listen to forever, that will inspire you, cheer you up etc... so shut up you moron, of course I'd like them cheaper but if you find it a waste of money, stop wasting it on bloody Westlife and get something that you will enjoy...

I was then called a rude git, and told by teacher to shut up.

I'm stingy git so get all my CDs off of Ebay auctions (unless they are cheap, like I got Fugazi- The Argument for only £8 in Virgin!)
To see the review of the aforementioned CD by Fugazi, read my review. (sorry about that...)
To make up for it feel free to call me a stingy git.

I buy most of my cds from Cd-wow now.. £8.99 for a single cd album..

I even managed to get a 2cd Smashing Pumpkins "best of" for £10.99 and the postage is free. They tend to sell most mainstream bands, pop and alternative. And it's very good, especially the bargain basement where I picked up the new Tori Amos album for £7

Stereophonics rule. Back me up on this, Grix and other Welsh people. But other than that, I get the expensive line a lot from my sister. So I've bought her a CD for Christmas. Its...*sob* Bridget Jones' Dairy VHS, with soundtrack. I felt ashamed buying it.
