Anyone got a release date for this game? Just checked the SR site and it says 18th December.....which is a Tuesday and everyone knows games are never released on a Tuesday.

Nah, I very rarely buy magazines nowadays, usually just go with recommendations, either from my mates or from comments posted on this forum. GTA3 is an example, wasn't really interested in the 1st 2 but after seeing the posts here I decided to get 3.....best decision I've made for a while!

Yes, the demo does take ages to load, but it is only a demo.
The demo for Driver 2 took ages, but was much quicker in the final game. Remember that code probably still has to be compressed, and the loading routines optimised, before release.
I also dount you'll have a plain blue screen with the word "LOADING" in the final version! :-)

Yes, I agree with Wookiee, it's addictive and could well turn out to be a classic! But is it me, or on the demo does it seem like hours and hours when it's loading! This has got to be the longest loading time I've seen on PS2 so far, and I thought loading times would be improving not getting longer.
