Freeola web-site template gives you a choice to display navigation menuitems each linked to web page both horizontally and vertically. It allows you to pick a choice to display the navigation items at the top (horizontally) and / or on the side (vertically)

If you chose to display navigation horizontally and on the side(vertically) the web page a particular item links to is the same web-page.

For example , if you have 'gallery' menu option this will be displayed on the top as well on the side but linked to the same Gallery Page

My question is how can I create my website template that allows me to define different menu items on the Horizontal bar and different set of menuitems on the side bar, so that horizontal menuitems link to different web pages and the vertical (side bar) menuitems link to different pages.

Butch,

Many thanks. Your answer gave me what I wanted. Sorry if my question was long winded. I just started to devise a we-site and was basically having difficulties navigating around the tutorial and getting familiar with Instant pro.

Unfortunately this isn't something that is currently available within the current build of InstantPro as both menus will read from the same list (your active pages).

We are always looking at improving the service though, and I believe more customisable menus is on 'the list', so this may change at some point in the future.

EDIT: Just re-read your post and I may have mis-understood. You can specifically set pages to only appear in either the horizontal, or vertical menus, or both.

From your Site Overview menu there is an option that reads 'Edit Navigation Links'. This new page will allow you to tick (or untick) specific pages from each menu which should give you what you are after.
