Who reckons that the last lot of band of brothers programs stank. Coz there was little to no fighting, to much waffle and so many characters that went and new ones came in that you couldn't keep up with it.
I've never heard of him. But my faveorite film is the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I've got a great deal of repect for the WW2 veterans. But let us not forget that many other films were based on true life but go widely of the point for the texas chainsaw massacre.
I would expect that is the case. It is a dramatisation, that goes with the territory. But those events did happen, were carried out by the 101st Airborne division and real people died.
It was not an A-Team style action programme done to give people a few thrills, and to treat it in that way and complain about the lack of action shows a pretty staggering lack of respect for veterans and those who died in the struggle.

Thing is, it was based on a true story, like you said, but It didn't re-enact history exactly. In actuality, some of the things the B.O.B. squadren did in the series were done by other companys. I read it in a sunday magazine. The telegraph or somethin?
Why do you want more fighting? They didn't have much choice picking the ending, that's how the war ended. It is based on a TRUE STORY you know.
Anyone who watched that for the action scenes and not as a harrowing account of real people's lives in wartime just has no idea. People suffer in war and the episode with the Concentration camp made a fair attempt at showing the horror of that time. I thought Band of Brothers was a surprisingly good dramatisation. If you want to watch people dying and being maimed for entertainment I suggest you look elsewhere.

It was about loads of yanks thinkin they won the war. We won it, you entered as it was finishing you yellow bellied curs then took the credit. No, I didn't watch it.
