A long time ago I was saving my pocketmoney for a walkman. I didn't get much, so the £15 was a lot of money to me. I eventually got one for roughly that price which as well as playing tapes, also played LCD games, from carts that plugged into the top.
As it turned out, the thing didn't play tapes or games very well, and I was quite disappointed. Luckily for me, I'd bought it from Argos, so I was able to take it back a fortnight later, within their 16 days, and get my money back, and all was well.
Why tell you this? From the news from Japan, PS2 doesn't seem to be up to much as either games machine or DVD player, and like my £15 was then, £300 is a lot of queens to most people. The moral of the story then? Buy from Argos? Not quite.
Just be sure before it's too late to change your mind. That's all.

Have you actually bothered to read any of my earlier posts before? If you had, you would actually realise that I DO believe the PS2 will be a great console - when we eventually see some great titles. And at the moment man, I can't say I've seen anything that has impressed me. Yet.

What is the (only) great game on the N64 Dan? I can count at least five... ;)
No! in Italian Sega means W*nk not w*nker. Also. this topic is boring, People have differences of opinion and so argue about them in childish ways. 'the PS2 blah. Blah..' the Dc is sh!te blah blah'. I agree with Bleeders - it is a fact that Playstation 2 is seen in the far east as a DVD player - of poor quality - but dead cheap none the less. And here it may well be too expensive.
DC has great games. N64 has a great game, Playstation has loads of games, and PS2 is Sony's DVD player.

I for one was dissapointed with the PS2. Tekken looked good but Ridge Racer was utter sh*** if you consider how powerfull the machine is.
It looks like it will be Saturn 2, good machine with programming problems.
What is needs is Full Scene Anti-Aliasing like the X-Box and Gamecube as a tv cannot go above 800x600 resolution. The PC will live on as the most advanced platform around.
