I woke up, played Tony hawlk 3 which I received from SR yesturday (thanks by the way) then I set of to Reading to do a bit of christmas shopping.
I got into the town, and man was it busy. You could barley walk through the streets, the town was the tin, and we were all the saundeens. I couldnt see much apart from people, but I didnt catch a glimse of some christmas lights and market traders. The shops were even busier, and each were full of offers, promotions, christmas stuff and adverts about the offers, promotions and christmas stuff.
I had a look in woolworths, virgin megastores, wh smiths, EB, Game and all the other usual places, and everyone had ripp of prices. I wish SR sold everything, then we wouldnt have to settle for such high, street shop pices.
For my Mum and brother, I managed to get hold of some friends videos. I just stuck my hand through the crowd and took what I could. I found a perfect gift for my little sister, a reideer that you feed jelly beans and it poops them out.
I didnt get much as I spent about 10 minuits queing in each shop. Smiths was a bit better, there was actualy room to move and breath. I had a look at the mumy returns, tomb raider and family guy DVD, then took my stuff to the very busy tills. It was ok though as I didnt have to que, they had these people called 'que busters' who stood around the till area, with some bags and a price checker. some people still befered to que, I think they were scared of by their pricing guns.
Next time I go shopping, I will have to remember to put on my hannibal mask and straight jacket, so im not tempted to take out my anger on other shoppers.
Anyone else had any christmas shopping experiences?

WINDOW SHOPPING:
Although you may feel like a prize plum going round the shops buying nothing ... this helps a great deal. This is what I did and I didn't buy anything too hasty. Therefore you can see what would suit certain people and then later think about what you should get or budget with the money you will have. It also allows you to assess the things and properley plan what you are going to get people, because how many times have you bought something then got home and regretted it? Quite a few times for me I must say. It is quick and you don't have to worry about the money just yet.
GO ALONE:
Again, I don't care if you feel stupid going around the shops by yourself, because you shouldn't. If you go by yourself, it does let you to go where ever you want, whenever and you don't have people to distract you from little treasures that you find by yourself!
THINK AHEAD:
Think about when you should go, whens the best time and how much money exactly can you spare for Xmas presents. Don't keep thinking you must get huge or expensive presents, its from the heart that counts.
MAKE A LIST:
Before you go out, making a list will help you a great deal and then it would also allow you to remember everything you wanted to buy and to not let you have to go out for an un - neccassary car trip.
I hope my short opinion helped you lot to do your shopping. It does work!
