I was in town this afternoon (buying SSX tricky), and while browsing the gaming mags in WHSmith, I saw the latest issue of PlayNation, which came with a free Manga DVD, 'Dominion-Tank Police' . I like Manga, I think that it is cool and interesting, so I bought the mag. (I also bought the latest issue of Edge, which gave Halo on the XBox 10/10!!!)
Watching the DVD at home, it is actually quite good. The animation is cheesy, and so is the plot, but it isn't boring and I think it is quite a good Manga film, expecially for the meager price of £2.99! The magazine also has a few pages reviewing other manga DVDs, which is interesting.
Another Anime/Manga thing, is that I have found a really good shop for these things. I ordered the FF7 soundtrack for my sister for Christmas, and with it came a huge catalogue with loads of DVDs, Soundtracks, Models Posters etc. I got it from MVM (Amazon Z-shop), and they delivered really quickly. I will probably try and get the Ghost in the Shell DVD; It is made by the same people as the free DVD, 'Dominion-Tank Police'.
I found that the DVD was very good value, and is not likely to be found bad by anyone.
