Will the day ever come where you can download your own memory and play it as a computer game, with as infinite options, actions and reactions as you would in reality? Unfortunately for this to be truly effective you would have to have everyone you've met minds and memories downloaded as well. This would then give you a real and true depiction of events and consequences should you change them.

A filter system would have to be applied as not everyone would like to play themselves as a five year old or 30 year old etc. So for instance I would set mine up to filter out all years other than those when I was at secondary school but from the age of about 14 onwards. Every feature of the school and all pupils would be programmed in to give a 100% real depiction of what actually went on, who hung out with who, where all the lessons were, what happened in those lessons, what the teachers were like etc. Whilst I would watch myself behave how I did I would be able to change what I said to some people, how I acted, what I did, all of which would then give me a real and 100% accurate picture of the consequences that would have followed my actions.

Let me give you some examples. Whilst at school I was in the school football team, and used to play either centre back, right back or left back. But what would have happened if I had solely said I would only play if I could play upfront? How would I have done? What other opportunities would have come from it? How would the team have done without me in defence? I would be able to actually see how I played, how good I actually was and where it would have got me. Another example would be that there was a girl I fancied at school for about 5 years, but never had the bottle to ask her out, and looking back it was one of the biggest regrets of my life, and still to this day I wonder if she would have said yes if I had asked her out. But in the game I would be able to ask her with no fear of rejection or embarrassment, and I would get an honest answer, and therefore not think about if future years!

This sort of game would be ideal for anyone that got bullied at school, as they could see what could have been done if they, say went to karate lessons, or stood up for themselves like they had never done, and because the game would give you a 100% truthful after picture of what happened you could see what would have been. It is for this reason that you would need everyone you've known to also have their memories and feelings downloaded. But imagine the possibilities that could be unearthed, it would be like opening up millions of alternate realities and dimensions, but just by the process of thought without consequence.

It would be ideal if you ever wanted to see what would of become of yourself if you did/didn't go to university, or if you did/didn't take that job. How would your life have differed? What would have happened if you moved out of your local town and lived/got bought up somewhere else...all new possibilities?!? But then the underlying question would be...would you want to know? Could the human brain handle that sort of information, and if not what adverse affects would it give. Could it be an idea for the future where people have microchips inserted into their brain to transmit their thoughts into a database where they can then be accessed? The reality of it may be far fetched but it would be a reality that many may wish to explore, although it would be a move closer to the possibility of living without social contact other than though computers, although this would not be the objective or aim of such a device.
