Nintendo have said that with their latest console is being made to be good to play games (hence the name) on today and easy to program for. They boasted about all of the great things that the N64 could do if it was properly utilised, and nobody wanted to develop for it, as it was apparantly too much trouble. So now they've build a platform which will compete with the others rather than do it's own thing. Maybe Nintendo should go back to it's dirty tricks campaigns of the NES days. Making developers only be able to produce games for the Nintendo, and stop them from making games on other platforms for a few years after they've signed the contract. This ploy totally blew the Sega Master System out of the water in the USA, even though it was a superior machine as it had no 3rd party support. (Licensing laws were different over here, so Nintendo didn't use the same policy so we had a greater range of SMS games - over twice as many than were released in the States)
