Hi,

I have noticed a dllhost.exe running in my Windows 7 task manager.

I'm not sure it should be there. I have run a full virus/malware scan and I'm clean.

How can I tell what it relates to?

One of the comments mentioned it is installed with a certain software, of which I have a version installed.

Maybe that's it.

You need to check the path of dllhost.exe. If it is located in C:WindowsSystem32 then it is a geniune Windows process. Very offen dllhost.exe eats up memory. http://www.file.net/process/dllhost.exe.html

Everything I have read about it says it is not harmful, but it is not beneficial either. Infact several reports show it not really doing anything at all and yet slowing the system down dramitcally.

Think it's a 6 and two 3's sort of thing.

So far I haven't found anything suspicious.

When I terminate dllhost.exe, there is no adverse effect on the system.
