1. Pele (Brazil)
Quite simply the greatest player in the history of the game. Pele burst on to the world scene as an 18-year-old at the 1958 Finals, scoring twice in the 5-2 win over hosts Sweden that secured the trophy.

2. Diego Maradona (Argentina)
Made his international debut at 16 with a devastating left foot and dribbling skills unheralded since George Best. Although infamous for the "Hand of God" incident on the way to winning the World Cup in 1986, he derserves to be mentioned with the best for guiding an otherwise average Argentinian team to a second World Cup triumph.

3. Johan Cruijff (Holland)
A wonderfully creative player despite being a heavy smoker which later caused him health problems. Was seen as the natural successor to Pele as the world's greatest player

4. George Best (Northern Ireland)
Best was the complete footballer. He had pace, he passed the ball with chilling precision, his invention and ball skills would leave opponents in tatters and his eye for goal was deadly.

5. Marco Van Basten (Holland)
The Dutchman had it all. He was graceful yet strong, supreme in the air and predatory in front of goal. Sadly, a chronic ankle injury eventually curtailed his illustrious career, but he left the Dutch and Milanese with a host of treasured memories.

6. Bobby Charlton (England)
Sir Ramsey contructed an innovative 4-4-2 formation and converted Bobby Chralton, originally a forward, into an attacking midfielder. In 1966, he was one of the leading players in the English side, with his brother Jack playing at center-back. Bobby scored 3 goals, 2 of them very important strikes against Eusebio's Portugal.

7. Zico (Brazil)
The "White Pele" was one of Brazil's all-time greats, featuring in three World Cup finals tournaments, but never gracing the Final or even the Semi-final stage of the competition.

8. Michel Platini (France)
Undoubtedly France's best ever player and along with Diego Maradona, probably the best of his generation. Essentially a midfielder but with the ability to score goals as well as any striker, the highlight of Platini's career was leading his country to victory in the 1984 European Championships, when he scored nine goals in five matches.

9. Bobby Moore (England)
Bobby Moore is an English legend. He exuded class and style as an authoritative defender and represented his country on 108 occasions, memorably leading and inspiring England to its greatest sporting triumph, the 1966 World Cup.

10. Zinedine Zidane (France)
Modern-day master is already considered one of France’s greatest.

Well these are 10 top players of all time. Ive probably missed quite a few out, but you have to admit that the players above will be remembered for a very long time for the class they bought to the game of football.
