well here is my story of trying to purchase pro evo soccer.
saturday, of i go to my local town, first stop GAME, did they have any copies of pro evo - NO, then to MVC, did they have any copies of pro evo - NO, then to VIRGIN, did they have any copies of pro evo - NO, then to DIXONS, did they have any copies of pro evo - NO, then to BOOTS, did they have any copies of pro evo - NO, then to WH SMITH, did they have any copies of pro evo - NO, then to BURGER KING, did they have any copies of pro evo - NO. i did this again on wednesday and had the same results (went to KFC insted tho!) and then again today (thursday) and had the same outcome, this game has been totally sold out in my area. didnt they make that many copies or is this game just that amazingly popular and good :)... so i have (5 mins ago) just orderd my copy from SR, in the comfort of my leather chair, nice and warm indoors, no money spent on petrol or parking.... what a muppet i am not to have done this in the first place, then i wouldnt be wasting your time telling u this, and and and i would b playing the game rite now. omg what a foolish boy i have been. shame on me!

Nope, it is not the most popular PS2 game out on the moment. There are many other games that are probably selling more than this for many reasons. GTA 3 and many more of the better known games will sell more because they are well known and were good on PS1, also many of these games have been out a lot longer so have more copies being bought.
ISS was not the most popular or well known game on PS1, and the same on PS 2. With the new name, people may possible ignore it not knowing what it is, others will just buy Fifa 2002 because it had good.........menu screens, in which case we will laugh at them.
None the less, this is still a very popular game and is selling quite a lot, and with the TV adds its becoming better known.

I think ssxpro is probably right, games like GT3, GTA3 e.t.c are high profile and the best of there type. PES is the best footie game but Fifa usually sells more. PES is an amazing game but to the average Joe on the street they would say Fifa is better just because of the licenses e.t.c. Where I work someone there is getting a PS2 and he wants Fifa 2002 and he doesnt believe me that PES is so much better. I havent got PES myself as Iam not a Footie fan but if I were to get a footie game I know which one to get and that will be PES.
As it isn`t the most popular licence in the book, it may not have as many copies as big titles such as GT3 or DMC. Not sure, but that would make sense if it was true!
Yup, it's pretty much the same story everywhere. My local Game had none left in stock either, lucky for me, I picked up my copy on the Wednesday before release.

Yes GTA3 has gotta be the best game on the PS2 right now. I wont get Tony Hawks 3 till next week I think but I think that will be really good as well. There are just so many quality titles out now and coming out on the PS2 right now
