Modchip - cheap, tricky setting up, some say it can muck up the console.
Game Enhancer - Simply plug in to the back of the console, but is said to eventually muck up the console and the games.
PSX Change CD - Easy to use (just load put the PSX CD in and then load the copied version), said to wear out the reading system of the playstion, resulting in crashes and audio losses.
So, whats the answer? Say what one you have and how it's done for you - so the players here have a clear view of which one to buy and which one's a con...
THEN consider importing stuff (NOT pirate copies, you mong) - get a flip-top lid and a boot-disc. Cheap, easy, no messing with the insides.
b. if you screw up you ps1 its a waste of time anyway.
c. it would be easier to get a ps2 and enjoy the new games.

Get a PS2.
