This probably sounds stupid, but here me out.
At lunch time, you get all the people, like myself, who are on lunch break from work, and just need to buy a few bits and bobs. Bread, maybe some fruit etc. Just a few little things.
However, some bright fudging fool decided today, to let all the people who normally work on the tills, to go for their lunch AT THE BUSIEST TIME OF DAY. Clever, eh?
All they left was one silly old bat who couldn't even weigh my apples properly.
She'd put them on the scales, and type the number thing in. But it wouldn't work, so she'd mumble something into her "granny -'tache" and bodge about for the next few minutes.
IT'S A BAG OF FOUR APPLES! IT CAN'T BE THAT BLOODY DIFFICULT!!!!
Then there's the Customer Service. Who are about as helpful as an underwater hairdrier.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I spent 20 mins of my lunch hour in the damn shop, when it should have taken me about 2 minutes.
Because of that, I couldn't get to the bank in time. And don't get me started on banks...
Their main opening hours, are basically office hours. So who is able to shop during those times? The unemployed, the pensioners, and the students, none of whom can actually afford to buy anything.
Then come 5:30, rich, employed people finish their office work for the day, and can't buy anything because all the shops are shut.
At lunch on shops that sell food and drink, they bog off to lunch... their own fault for not making profit, hope they go bankrupt.
The shop up the road... I went to buy some Strawberry milkshake (great stuff) it was 39p and the woman asked we for 69p, I said it was 39p, even though the sign is 5 metres away saying 39p, long argumnent, I payed 39p and walked out.
Yes silly old woman.
*Continuing joke from last reply*
