If you're in goal, and you save a particularly hard shot, it can severely damage the tissues and bones in the wrist.

They should be playing with a Size 4 ball, which I was playing with at U9's and U11's. U15's well, thats the big boys :-) Broken wrists? PAH more like Broken legs :-)
