Theres quite a few abandonware sites floating about the net, of which on e of the most respectable is the near legendary 'Home of the Underdogs'.

(though they claim not to be abadonware per se)

A site who, that can best be described in their own words, as 'Home of the Underdogs is a non-profit site dedicated to the preservation and promotion of underrated PC games (and a few non-PC games) of all ages: good games that deserve a second chance after dismal sales or critical reviews that we feel are unwarranted.'

Are you the sort of person that plays it safe, sticks with the popular games that do well with the press? ... Or do you prefer to take a chance, occasionally buying a title on whim and whimsy?

What hidden gems have you played over the years, that passed the rest of the world by? - Classics that were too far ahead of their time, or too unique to be taken onboard by the masses?
