Can anyone tell me is it possible to chip a PS 2 and is it safe to do so ?
Also is it possible to run 2 tv monitors with a PS 2?
If it is how, and what would i need to do it.

2 player games use 1 TV. The game splits the view of the screen so its either a vertical split of horizontal. For this to effective you really need a pretty big tv maybe about a 20in. 14in would be far too small for me. A 14in is far too small for games playing to start with :-). Certain games like GT3 offer link up games. This means via a link cable you can have 2 PS2's and 2 TV's. But this is costly. The only way to play most 2 player games is via split screen. Some 2 player games use this as a multiplayer game as they have a nudge feature. I cant remembe a game that uses it, but when one player is doing really well the 2nd player has there screen start to shrink.

Point taken , they will not get it chipped.

about the two tv's .....on a 2 player game would i be correct in thinking that each player would have a seperate tv on a that game.
I hope I made myself clear in what I'm trying to say.

Thanks to all who gave their oppinion.

Slaveunit is right. Dont get it done, its not worth it in the end, and i would rather pay more and support the gaming industry, its only gonna get better if we do!

It is possible to chip the ps2 yeah. Its not acually very difficult at all from what i gather although still a little pricey. I had mine done and have had no problems other than the fact i bought too many games, never played any of them, got bored, sold them all again, have now started buying originals again and regret ever having it done!
