"End of an era..."

Many of us have loved the chance to win three games everyday, either by an excellent post, a review or some cheats,hints or a walkthrough most of us have gained something free out of it. Maybe not just a free game but also the chance to read some outstanding material, reviews to help you decide what game to purchase next or even the chance just to talk about the things they love.

Well gameaday is no longer three prizes a day. Tony has spoken and for me its a wonder how they managed to be so generous for so long. I remember back to the days of gameaday and filmaday where there was only one game to win each day and also one film. Now the game will go to the best review of the day.
Afterall Special Reserve is a business, there aim is to make money so they have to work out the best ways to do this.

So the point of this post?
Even though there may no longer be the chance to win a game for posting, please don't stop, please don't disappear. Chances are if you are reading this then you visit prime from time to time and take time to read the well thought out posts.
Even if you visit all the other forums you will recognise the talented posters and decent people there are around. Ok so you may not be getting a game, but those of us who have worked out what is so special about these forums will know already that there is something far better out there in these forums.

A community of people who love game, hate games, aren't afraid to share their views, opinions and help entertain most of us on a daily basis.

I've been here for quite some time, I have many great memories of great posts, certain events like the Shaneo witchhunt, the asian love prince dude, the banning of Sheepy and Goatboy as a joke, my first win, the friends I have made and the countless great stories and posts I've read.

So please stick around and continue to contribute something special to these forums. It may be the end of the three games everyday but there is still a lot on offer here.

I never won it ever anyway. Shouldn't I have got a bonus one for still trying?

True... FOG has seemingly forgot me since my movement to the Nintendo forum...

But changes occur and I may end up back in the old FOG forums again... we'll continue to swarm from place to place.

Nevertheless I doubt people will leave... they always love forums and since i've settled here I'll continue to remain here.

Although posts won't be as good without GAD incentives... I'll no longer write in WORD to make sure it's ok before posting. I just write what I think and post.

I look forward to when it returns.

Anyway, this forum seems to have dried up without GAD as an incentive.
I think the main reason this has slowly dried up because there's only so much to talk about in games nowdays and it gets boring after a while.
It's mostly console specific news nowdays which is posted in console specific forums.

The tides have turned.
I remember when ALL proper gaming discussion was done in FoG and the console specific forums were left to the newbies and animals! :-D

At one point, Meka practically owned the Nintendo forum! :-D

As I always point out, FOG Prime is important because it is for serious attempts at discussing gaming's finer points. There are some well written pieces here and I always browse them even if I don't get a chance to reply.

It'll pick up. You'll notice that LOADS of people have started drifing from FOG chat into other forums on this site. Eventually they'll make new friends, settle in, start posting again and we might even get a bit more life in here.

The in about a week's time, an M-1 Abrahms Battle Tank will flick up a pebble which will hit a British reporter for the Christian Chronicle on the forehead causing a minor cut. A topic will commence in Life entitled "The advantages of religious reporters wearing Jedi Helmets in Baghdad and why the Americans are stupid", Goatboy will come back, kick everyone who shouldn't be where they are back into Fog Chat, isketch.net's page impressions will go back to their normal quantities and everything will return to normal.

Or something 'like' that. It has always been this way.

Hmm. I'm wondering if FOG Prime will become even more redundant than it has in the past few weeks now that GADs for posts are eliminated. Even on a good day, recently FOG Prime has only had 4-5 topics with new posts in...
