The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
An individual who cannot be named for legal reasons was attracted to the prospect of free games. Soon this pursuit co0nsumed his entire being, and all he ever talked about was "the precious GAD". He only talked to himself mind, for he never ventured outside his house (or even his bedroom, except to feed or go check the post for his latest free game in the post).
Anyway. This individual became so unhealthy from spending all time writing topics that when he got up and left his lair to make the long and dangerous trek down the corridor for his weekly bathroom break he suffered a collapsed lung.
So the individual called claims direct! They insisted Special Reserve were grossly negligent in their giving away of free games, and that the forums were more addictive than crack cocaine, something the Daily Mail quickly reported on, as well as outlining that internet chat forums were only used by paedophiles, terrorists and international drug smuggling networks.
Special Reserve were facing a multi-million pound lawsuit, so decided they had to make an out of court settlement. This put them in some financial difficulties. These were almost certainly a factor in the cancellation of two of the three GAD prizes, but were also not the main reason. Special Reserve fear yet more lawsuits from individuals who have been physically and emotionally traumatised by the grossly negligent practice of giving away free games. They are running a huge risk by having one Game-A-Day prize left. So don't blame anyone at Special Reserve for you moochers having to pay for games now. Blame Claims Direct.

Using free games like the lure of sweets from the park bench, SR dragged young posters into its sites, and forced it to make posts in its forums for the chance of free games.
