LIMBO
Try and Die!!

Come with me readers
Come if you will
Down to the forest
where lurks an evil
Down in the middle
of a deep, dark wood
we meet our young hero
whose heart is good.
He lost his dear sister
some time ago
so now he must rescue her
from within Limbo
a place that exists
on the edges of hell
in your dreams and your nightmares
(this doesn't start well).
Through this 2D side scroller
you must try to play
past the puzzles and monsters
which hamper your way.
Up and down ladders
and perilous ledges,
big spiders, and bear traps
with razor sharp edges.
If you're not careful
you'll soon end up dead
(through being dismembered
or losing your head).
The deaths are quite gruesome
and yet playful too
(depending, of course,
on your point of view).
One interesting point
that I haven't yet raised
is the ambience, for which
this game is so praised.
It's in black and white
and the screen feels quite dirty
like a film noir movie
from mid-1930.
The noises are spooky
and keep you on edge
as you climb up a tree
or crawl though a hedge.
It all adds towards
the horror ambience
(all yours for a spritely
12 hundred MS points).
The trees turn to concrete
the wood to a city
dilapidated, yes,
but none the less pretty.
Still not convinced?
Decision pending?
I haven't even
mentioned the ending!
And so, before I
complete this review
I have a few more
little facts for you.
Created by Playdead
this little gem
has a wonderfully fluid
physics system.
Released in the summer
I have played
many hours on this game
on Xbox Live Arcade.
It's wonderfully simple
and devilishly tricky
with do or die moments
and death scenes quite sicky.
And finally my score
as I come to the end
I'll give it a princely
9 out of 10.
If you're after a deal
or a bargain this Crimbo
you need look no further than
Playdead's game 'Limbo'.

Very pleased
Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
