I admit, some browser based roll playing games are the extremes of boredom, but most take a very intelligent person to be able to play them effectively. I believe that these games can draw you to such lengths as you will break friendships or stay up all night due to the effective realism of the game, you actually start believing you are the person you are playing at being.
I would like to get feedback on what other people think and if you have any reccomendations of good strategy games on consoles or PC.
You can find most browser based game details at
http://www.mpogd.com which is a directory of all online multiplayer games.

Yeah I *played* that. Started in June, got bored by August, gave up in Spetember and haven't been back since. It gets so boring.

Darn good fun. Started playing it back at the end of October, when they started the new age, and it really is quite good. It's not as 'political' as planetarion, but it's bot-free as far as I can tell. It works slightly differently though... there's not much advantage to being online 24/7 as attacks are instant (takes x hours for your troops to get back though), but there's a lot of skill involved.

Still, did they really have to kill them? I mean, kick them off the server by all means... but wow.
If the same rule applied for Planetarion, Yaeger and Sniper would both be playing their harps by now. Or recorders.
"We're paying for this game, and it's not as good as we thought, and we can't be bothered to take all that time levelling up and searching for items because we've only paid for 3 months, so we're going to cheat and kill other players for their items, therefore having more fun that way."
Spot the flaw?
