"GAD1 Gone? Who cares?"

GAD1 is gone and everyone is upset - and rightly so. For many people that free game was there only source of gaming pleasure and for many it got them games which they otherwise wouldn't have played. But did the games really matter? Not to me they didn't.

I can't say that I joined Special Reserve just to be a part of a community - the total opposite infact. All i wanted was to get a quick game or two and stop. As I began to write I started to feel part of a community and thus SR dragged me in.

Now I spend more time on these forums that i do on games - I talk about games more than I actually play them, which is very ironic - I joined to get more gaming pleasure and thanks to joining I play less.

The fact of the matter is that I enjoy these forums more than i do most games - I enjoy the feel of the forums and it's members, and so do most other people that I talk to.

It just shows that people that left are sad, materialistic types who don't deserve to have ever graced these forums.

I've spent 100's of hours here and for it only have 2 games to my name (I gave another one to a mate). If I was ever going to leave due to lack of GAD's, i would have a long time ago.

What was the point of this post?

As most others did, I joined SR for the free games, I realised I wasn't going to win a game after a few days, but I decided o stay, as it had been a while since I'd been a forum member. I'm not going to leave, unless the forums get REALLY bad.

I for one care, It means I can't win GAD'S. It also means SR lose out, as for every game I won, I always purchased other games from them, feeling endebted. Losing GAD1 is a bad thing for everyone.

I never won anyway so why should I care.

I joined because of gameaday, but im not going to leave because two of the prizes have taken a holiday.

I didn't join because of Gameaday, I didn't stay because of Gameaday, and I certainly won't leave because of Gameaday.


Although I can see why people are, seeing as without the chance of winning free games these forums are crap.
