I was on the bus today when my (ahem) friend told me that my/his friend has a GameCube. Of course, to start with I didn't believe him but he just kept such a straight face that I was on the verge of believing him.
So I thought I'd pop round my friend's house to see if it were true and it was!
He got an import from the states on Friday and some chip to let it run UK games (not that it matters at the moment mind).
Unfortunately, he had his Dreamcast plugged in because he was finishing off Shenmue 2 so I told him I'd be back tomorrow. He assured he'd have it plugged in for me so I'm on my way to playing a GC...
This could actually stop me from getting my PS2. We'll just have to wait till tomorrow. Well, I'll have to wait anyway.

Well this guy got his GC of a friend of a friend (of another friend I think) and he put some chip in it which allows him to play all region games.
Dunno if games are still called region like DVDs. :-D

I'll have to wait until next April before I get mine or even play on one. I'm gonna save up my christmas money and then I gonna get it for my birthday. I'll pay my Christmas and Birthday money towards it of course.

Only thing that could be better? A personalisedly moulded plastic one... but that won't happen anytime soon....
I honestly think the Gamecube will be the best console since the SNES... the PS2 is all well and good, but there is something about the Gamecube...
