The Sims is a very good game for the pc but it is rubbish for the GC , X-BOX and PS2.The game is rubbish because it is all mission based and you have to unlock the other mode.

The Sims is fine - provided you have a few hours to spare. Obviously, not for people who like lots of fast paced action in every game.
The PS2 version looks nicer than the PC original, and as for controls, I think they have done a fair job porting it to PS2.

The sims online is supposed to be crap as well.

It is crap for the PS2
Thanks to a GAD, my wee sister got a copy of The Sims on the PS2 for her birthday last Friday and she (as a wily veteran of the PC version and all its expansion packs) seems happy enough with it. Must try it out myself, see if it can keep me busy for a day before getting boring like the PC edition did.
The Sims must be the most over-rated game ever, excluding GTA:VC
