For the first time since last Christmas, i have had two new games arrive in the same week, one being a GAD. And in them both, i have found too common aspects that are very annoying. The commentry.
Yep, you guessed it, im talking about Smackdown 3 and Pro Evo. Seriously the people from the respective developers should curl up and be ashamed as they both have shocking in game commentry.
Smackdown to me has the worst of the two, cole and Tazz are just the most annoying voices to here at the best of times and on this game there even worse. You have to laugh though when they say " i think the Rock will win this match" just as the 3 count fall has happened on him and he looses. And another thing, could they not have given us any more variety to listen to, i have lost count the amount of times i have heard, "Cole and Tazz at ring side". AAAARRRGGGGGG!
And Pro Evo, well, this is basicly the same as the Evo 2 game. They are just like the 'experts' that are on ITV, clearly no nothing of football. They get things wrong all the time: "that was a great shot". No it wasnt, it was a pass fool! Often they are a pass behind the game and only relise that a shot had just been taken when the keeper takes a kick. But the best thing is the match analysis at the end of a match with Terrys in depth report, " it was a very close match, it could have gone either way". Well if he calls 6-0 a close match i would love to see a one sided match. LOL
Come on developers, sort it out, even fifa has decent commentry.

Another thing about the commentary in Pro Evolution is that it's too repetitive! "The match is tight and the crowds are doing a mexican wave". I've heard this phrase too many times and it gets very annoying after a while.
Other than this Pro Evo wipes the floor with the likes of Fifa 2002 and TIF 2002 - any footie game in fact!

The commentary on TimeSplitters was rubbish too. All the commentator said was "Ooh you got that guy good" and "Ooh that guy got you good".
Then again, it was one of the other people at uni who was commentating!

As for the Smackdown 3 commentary - Why??
The first thing I do whenever I play Pro Evolution is turn the damn commentary off - Its always been poor!!
I think the Pro Evo commentary is even worse that the first 2 Evolution games on the PSone. At least it was more varied than this game. And I just try and ignore the SD3 commentary....
It seems as though they make the commentry on ISS Purposly bad every single time!
As for Smackdown Commentry, yes it is pathitic and not worthy of the PS2. It's just a joke now. And why wasnt JR on the game? Hopefully he and Lawler will be the commentators on the next one.

I have to agree the best bit of commentary from Smackdown 3 that i heard was " i think KANE is one of the, best WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS we have got in the WWF" LOL
