Searching for some new albums, I came across Creed's latest album - Human Clay. After listening to some songs from their other album, I decided to go for it. This album is very thought provoking but at the same time good quality sound. Creed make the combination twine together beautifully and produce an album well worth buying.

Creed consist of Scott Stapp (vocalist), Mark Tremonti (guitar, vocals), Scott Philips (drums) and Brian Marshall on the bass. Stapp and Tremonti are the genious' behind the lyrics and music itself. These two make up kind of there own style but it is classed as alternative or indie. Whatever it is, it's amazing.

"Are you ready?" will get you ready for a new life, a different life that is the message from this song. Be ready for anything basically.

In "What If", revenge is on the cards here and it's saying that even though what you say gets to me, don't be surprised if I get back at you! A song with great feeling and words, makes you feel as if there is a real bad situation happening.

"Beautiful" is a strange song, as I'm not really too sure but some "beautiful" lady has affected his and another man's lives and you should watch out for her because she has vile instincts.

"Say I Mankind" Is a track that I can't quite put my finger on. A misconception that the world breathes and which we call man are the words in the song. We are just human clay and we are driving ourselves to death. Man, is it real? No, because they lie.

An excellent track in "Wrong Way", with someone possibly at deaths doorstep, suddenly realising what they have done with their life. They would like to think that he has helped someone through life. The chance he didn't get because someone showed him the wrong way can burst into life from just a melodic speech.

"Faceless Man" is all based on guilty conscience here. Looked at his reflection and sees almost a faceless man that is himself. Every time from then on that he looks at that face, it will remind him to always do what's right. That's what I think, but it's kind of mixed up, but it gets the brain cells working in places they have never done before.

In "Never Die", there has or will be a moment in life where "youth betrays itself to age" - "let's find it and relive our past and childhood" prove that theory correct. There is so much pressure in adult life, so lets forget our problems and live like a child, because your youth will never die. Some hefty guitar at stages in this and it is a well thought out song, musically. Good build up for the next song.

In "With Arms Wide Open", he is taking someone in with arms wide open, but regretting that he didn't do it earlier. That aside, it's a brilliant song - no.1 selling single in America. Didn't do well in the UK because it wasn't commercialised enough like everything seemingly needs to be. It's a shame to see a great song like "With Arms Wide Open" left there to rot.

"Higher" is a place of perfectness, in where a person is dreaming about place "where blind men see". "Can you take me higher?" is the question - "Can you take me to this place? I never want to leave. Is it something as simple as being asleep?"A great song!

The next three tracks, "Wash Away Those Years", "Inside us all" and "Young Grow Old" are nothing too significant and we've heard them all before. This is where the album begins to get a little boring and show it's "age", in that they are basically repeating different versions of the songs.

If you buy the Special Edition, you will find that the CD itself also acts as a CD Rom or Enhanced CD. On this, there are videos and soundtracks of the hit single "With Arms Wide Open" and "Higher". If you have a PC, you can gain access to Jpeg pictures - a great added bonus to an already great album - a must buy for all.

Have you seen the video for Higher?

Scott Strapp is the most arrogantly pretentious man I have ever seen. Note how he rises into the air in true crucification pose. Yes Scott, you are the messiah aren't you? You have come to rescue us from boring corporate agnst with some good Christian values.. oh, what's that, you are in a boring corporate agnst band?

Maybe, just maybe I would have liked Creed, but people who compare themselves to Christ in their videos really annoy me. I mean I'm not partcularly Christian, but having yourself float into the air with arms outstretched is just insulting.
