i wanted to post this in the life room but reakon it will get more interest here.

America bombing afganistan
we have seen it in the papers and on tv but have you realise this:
America- most powerful country. Biggest militrey best country (the belief of alot of delusional americans)
Afganistan- poorest country in the world. Smallest. No militry basicly, in a word crap.
Now do you see the unfairness in this whole thing?
what chance to taliban troops stand against american ones. Well we all (or the educated of us) know that the american special forces aren't that good. But do they need to be.
TO put it lightly its like a turkey shoot.
In afganistan they have NOTHING that could take down an american fighter plane. They have been bombed and been at war for 20 years or so.
America is exerting its military muscles againts the porrest smallest weakest country in the world.
Really shows them as being great.
Also, notice we didn;t give a damn about the people of afganistan before sept 11. Now its all "we must drop food" and "we should send aid/troops".
Most of that comes from politicians who are trying to use this all to make them look good.
Its appaling
Instead of destroying whats left in afganistan we should be going around it peacefully.
If american troops find Osama bin Laden they will probaly kill him.
Easy way out i say. If he is found, keep him alive. let him face a jury and trial. Let him rot in jail for the rest of his life.
Death by being shot if better than death on your own in a padded room. Much better

Hmm. The question of what to do with Bin Laden is a tricky one.If he is killed he will become a martyr and there will be hunderds of other fanatics to fill his shoes, but if he is put in jail there is the risk he will escape or simply continue masterminding the operations from the relative safety of jail. This is a problem the governments are likely to have to deal with soon, and I would imagine a lot hangs in the balance.
