1)You must have played the game enough to say its the best (To completion if possible)
2)If you want to disagree with some1 else's choice, you must also have played the game before saying that its crap
3)You must provide reasons for your choice that are interesting
4)You must also provide a downside to the game coz lets face it, nothings perfect!
If we stick to these rules there should be some good posts and spamming will keep to a minimum.
Get posting !!!!
> It is a bit obvious that the best games ever are all the Zelda games! You can't
> argue with that now!!!
i disagree. judge get the hammer out. first of all, you cant say all the zelda games because the gameboy versions are totally bollacks. i borrowed 2 of my mate. and i have a N64 and rented zelda for it and it wasnt that good, too slow and annoying, the stury line isnt that good either.
About the co-operative side of games, i think its a great idea, it gets tiring playing against others all the time especially when (not boasting..) ure a lot better than them!
Me and a mate used to play the co-operative mode in Timesplitters all the time although you dont win the extras through doing it which slightly spoilt the fun and seemed to make the task pointless.
Any how, co-operative rules and with all the power that new consoles have the splitscreen modes, or console link ups, are easy to perform, i say MORE CO-OPERATIVE MODES !!
Any 1 agree ???
> Skies of Arcadia (Action/RPG) for the Dreamcast
I only ever played the demo. I can see what you mean about the random battles though. Everything about it except for the battles seemed really good. Not only did I not like the turn based system but I hated the amount of battles you'd have to fight. Everything else seemed really good, but because I didn't like the fighting (and that seemed like a huge part of the game), I didn't buy it.
I think they should have the option to link up 2 consoles and work
> as a co-operative setup, that would just be amazing !!!
You can do that with Perfect dark on the N64, but with one console only :(
I have been playing this game for about 7 years now, and my addiction to it has shown no sign of dieing. I always come back for more, as there is always a new challenge. My ultimate goal is to win the league and winning each match. I have gone a whole season unbeaten aonly drawing 4 games, which was a great feat for me.
This game isnt graphically stunning. BUt thats not what this game is about. Its about tactical know-how and making decisions. Purchasing the right players and keeping them happy is a very important factor in how your team will perform.
My most played game.
Graphically it's astounding, there's nothing else in it's style on the Dreamcast, and I struggle to think of any other game on any other console that shows similar graphics with this much detail at this much speed. (Although the PS2 will no doubt thrash it later on when some better RPGs come out for it).
The storyline is totally unique, it's a 30+ hour game that you'll want to finish over a long weekend because you are so eager to see what happens next. The lands (floating islands and continents) and the modes of travel (flying battleships) are all things that you won't have seen in any other game before, the whole thing is so original that it blows a breath of fresh air across your dusty game collection.
Each character in your party is excellently developed with a rivetting plot and cut scenes, all of which are done in the same graphical style as the game itself, so although there are sections where you are just watching the action it really does still feel as if you are in complete control.
Towards the end of the game you have complete freedom to explore the world, collect all the items you need, recruit more members for your crew if you feel so inclined, or just press on with the finale, which in itself is a great one.
On the downside is the random battle generator; sometimes when you're in a hurry to get somewhere to continue the storyline, it's annoying when 2 or 3 minor monsters just get in the way and hold things up. But even that's a plus because you HAVE to develop your characters somehow.
Downside, multiplayer would just finish the title off and would extend the games life span. Now I cant wait till metal gear solid 2, if its anything like its predescessor then Ill be happy !!!
