A good few years ago, some bright chap invented something called netiquette... rules that should be obeyed online to make the place fun. Some of these rules are:
* If you are new in a chat room/forum (like this one!) Don't begin posting straight away, or ask other users "what should I do". Insetad take some time to just read what is already going on, and how to behave. Had many of the newest batch of members done this, we might not hate them all for making pointless topics!
* Always read the rules of the site before you start posting. (www.gameaday.co.uk for the whole list). Hence simple rules like "Do not Spam" (SPAM= write out millions if useless posts to increase word count and become a "Regular").
* Do not swear/abuse/name-call oher members because of what they are saying. They've been on the forums a lot longer than you, so they know what they're saying (we hope!). Instead debate what they're saying, and make sure you SUPPORT YOUR VIEWS in order not to be ridiculed.
