Yesterday I went to see the Film Harry Potter & The Philosophers Stone. I was very impressed with the special effects and the excellent acting. The next thing I want to do is to play the game - this is something of a problem for me. I'm only 15 so i have to fund my game playing addiction from my pocket money and my paper round.

I am concerned that the game in question is going to be in short a big pile o' pants. have you seen the advert for it, it all looks very promising until you read the text in the screen corner : "Not actual game footage" Harry Potter had the potential to be great but will the game live up to this - it will obviously be aimed at young children and so probably won't provide mental sustinance for players who aren't aged 7 - 10.

I think that Harry Potter has become far too commercialised and that the game will reflect this, watching Telly this morning I spotted 4 adverts for the game in the space of 2 minutes, not that publicity is a bad thing I just think that it should be toned down a notch. While the track record of games imported from books is a mixed one (Discworld 1 Vs. Discworld Noir?!?) I think that Harry Potter will probably slip into the failed category. I cannot enforce this view as I haven't played the game but I would apreciate comments from anyone that has.
