A bit like some old game that might have been on Mega Drive (possibly even the original Spy Hunter, or a recent follow-up. It springs to mind, I could be very wrong. Anyway...), the game allows a 2-player co-operative mode where one drives the car, the other shoots stuff with a lightgun.
Starsky and Hutch looks like it'll be released on the gamecube too. SR have it listed for September (Though they also have Mario Kart listed for July, so take that with a pinch of salt).
Will 'our' Starsky and Hutch be stripped of the opportunity to use a light gun? Or will we soon get the chance to see Ninty revive another classic title and bring us Duck Hunt 2?
*crosses fingers*

I always think that with light guns the gimmick factor is bigger, than the games are fun in their own right.
Ok, some are great fun short term, but have there ever been any really great light gun games?
But I'm still looking forward to them when my PS2 arrives. Then again I'm looking forward to the dance mat games too...
:^)
I definitely think mixing the shooting up with other gameplay elements is the way to go if there's ever going to be a 'classic' lightgun game (except duck hunt, but that was classic in a very different way), but while they may not be classic games, they are at least very good games.

Duck hunt was good.
Fact Hunt was also a classic (if you don't know, say it out loud, it helps)

Mixing up a dancing mat and light gun shooting game could be great imagine that!
Bust A Groove meets House Of The Dead!
I waited for weeks in excitement to get hold of a light gun for my Dreamcast, when I eventually did it was fun for a few days but soon I realised what a waste of money it was.
Mario Kart = £35
Which one?
