Gaming in which crimial activity pays a large part has again become popular, just look at the success of Grand Theft Auto 3 for an example of this.
Nintendo, never a company to miss a trend has flown into the market with this fabulous new game that deals with the seedy world of crime.
Cat Burglar puts you in the role of sexy female feline Kitty McNash, an experienced burglar. That's also a cat.
Using your skills as a burglar, and special abilities as a cat you must break into certain homes, and come away with as many goodies as possible. Each house will have a numbr of tasks that must be completed before you can move onto the next house, so as much fun as breaking into a house, trashing it and peeing on the floor may be, it won't open up any of the other amazing areas of the game.
With each mission, or house, there are a number of risks and pitfalls to overcome, including security alarms that must be avoided or taken out before you are detected, traps laid by nutty home-owners, and of course, the cat's worst enemy, the Guard Dog!
Nintendo have incorporated a number of innovative features into this game, and perhaps the most exciting of these is the 'sound barrier'. The 'sound barrier' is a meter on the screen that raises slightly every time you make too much noise, be it in breaking a window, or trying to shift a sofa to get to a hidden safe. When the meter hits it's peak you will have woken one of the houses residents, and they'll be down after you with a shotgun! You have a limited about of time to escape with your bounty.
Other aspects of the game include selling on your stolen stuff. With profits made here you can purchase extraitems to help you out, be it a stronger flashlight, a grappling hook and rope, or just a new balaclava, to keep your identity a secret.
Cat Burglar is being developed by Nintendo 2nd party Similareaka for exclusive release on the Gamecube and Gameboy Advance, and is though to incorporate link-up play between these two machines.

Does this game involve little Italian plumbers and copious amounts of LSD?
Read and be less dirty.

Does it feature fluffy animals?
If not, then I doubt it.
Actually yes, there was talk of this some time ago, but I've heard nothing new on it in over a year.
