They player superbly, a team that lost 9-0 to Manchester United in the mid 1990's, manages to beat one of Italy's finest, respect to them.
However, I don't think they'll finish in the top ten in the league = this lot will ;-)
Every club wants to finish in as high a place as possible, but just where will everyone finish? In the premiership and in division one this season I feel, as many do, that it's going to be a lot tighter with no clear cut leader, pulling away from the pack like Fulham and Manchester United did last season (winners of Division one and The Premiership respectively) - who do you support? Where will your team finish? Do you care?
1st: Liverpool. I think they'll not progress into the knockout stages of the Champions League, no offence, but I do feel after that they'll be able to concentrate on the domestic league, welcom Mr Houllier back and I think, win the league, although it will be close. This'll make Liverpool the 4th team to win the Premiership, and make a lot of Man United fans rather peeved :)
2nd: Leeds. Leeds so far have proven that their young side can cope under pressure, take on the other big guns and stay very high in the table - a top manager, a very talented squad of young and experienced players, but this season I think they'll just be pipped by the Anfield team. But who knows!
3rd: Arsenal. Arsenal will just edge Manchester United this season, in every possible way - they'll beat them this weekend, they've already knocked them out of the Worthington Cup and I think they'll finish one place above them too. Arsenal have a great squad as well - Henry is a superstar.
4th: Manchester United. Sorry to all you Man U fans, but I don't think they'll manage a championship chase - although Van Nistelrooy has settled superbly, it's already evident they're having defensive and goalkeeping problems - conceeded the most in the premiership? Manchester United? No way! They may get far in the Champions League, but in the Prem? 4th I think.
5th: Sunderland. Sunderland beat Leeds the other day and they seem like they're on a roll - they'll have a very prosperous Christmas period, and I good old Mr Kevin Phillips will be in his element scoring many, many more goals.
6th: Aston Villa. The Villa started very well, and have been top already this year, with a much better squad than last year's campaign, I think John Gregory will guide them into Europe, possibly pick up a manager of the month award and gain some of the respect he deserves instead of hatred and criticism. Their strikers have learned how to shoot, so there's a better chance of them scoring, 6th place or around is very likely for Aston Villa.
7th: Chelsea: Chelsea seem to have lost their touch recently, ageing players, an Italian, non English speaking manager, and a very crazy Chairman - I don't think they'll have enough spark to keep them in the top 6. Chelsea are good, but not that good. Sorry, but foreign players shouldn't make up the whole team.
8th: Tottenham: they're doing very well so far, much improved on last season - a decent manager, a very good team, some veterans and a lot of young talent too. Tottenham Hotspurs will achieve a lot this year, and I think they'll finish top half for a change. Good prospects for next year as well.
9th: Blackburn: The Rovers have proven their critics wrong and seem like they'll be pushing for either a European place or settling for mid table, instead of fighting relegation - they've a very instrumental manager, some superb players - David Dunn in particular, and they should finish in the top half I feel.
10th: Bolton: Bolton were promoted last season thru the playoffs, and as of their last game they were the highest placed newly promoted team, just ahead of Blackburn. They've got some true talent - Michael Ricketts is a brilliant player, and I think they'll also finish top half.
No matter what happens, enjoy the beautiful game, watch your team win, lose or draw - keep the respect.

Take Arsenal a few seasons back. Wenger spent ridiculous amounts of money on foreign players such Overmars, Viera, Petite and Henry, and while they may be skillful on their own, the fact that they are just in football for the huge wages they can earn, and the glory, made them act like spoiled brats. Most of those players lacked discipline, and the heart to stick with a title bid until the very last. Whenever they were not winning, then they would moan in the press about each other, and their spats with other players became public. It then became a neccessity for the teams sake to sell these selfish players for the chances of the team to win anything.
This also happened this season at Old Trafford. Jaap Stam thought that it would be a good idea to insult other Man Utd players to increase sales of his book, which got the required publicity, however it enraged the fans and squad, and hence it became evident that he had to go. Since then he is still overpaid, but in his quest for glory and money, he has had to resort to drugs, rather than working with a good team around him. If you look at the Ipswich and Leeds squad now, or the youth squad of Utd a few years back, they played as one, and took success and defeat as a team, not blaming it on individual players.
I hope that Leeds win the League this year because the maturity they have shown over the past couple of years, together with the support given to the players involved in the assault case, and the fact that play their style of football that plays to their strengths rather than other teams weakness'. Leeds are an examle to the Premiership of how a team should play, rather than overpaid glory-seekers who wish to further their long-term careers than pledge their long term allegience to a club.
The state that football is in at the moment is sad to see, as players are going on strike for their own rights. The press are persecuting them as a few weeks of matches might not be played. The truth is that the amount of money that the PFA get at the moment is not enough compared to what they do for players lower down the leagues, and also players terminally injured. While the players in the Premiership may not realise what they are going to strike for, I still remember the awful day when David Buusts career was ended by a tackle from Dennis Irwin. The PFA make sure that players that will never play professional football again, and their families are well looked after, and also to help those in lower divisions that may be in times of hardship. The press may be demonising footballers for striking, and while they may not fully understnad waht the PFA do, it is a worthy cause that deserves more money
