Since I was born I have never got along with my brother, the only memories I have of him are bad ones. When I was younger, I had one of those seats attached to elastic which you fixed to your door, and man did I enjoy that. One day, I was getting my bounce on in the chair and my brother came along, and pulled it back as far as it could go, then let me go, he found it so funny he desided to do it again every time he saw me in there, so after a while I developed a fear of 'the chair' and never sat in it again :(
When we had our photo's taken together, he would push me about, hit and kick me, then the photographer shouted
'SAY CHEESE' we paused, smiled and said cheese like we were instructed to do, then he started again.
As the years went on, we grew, and so did are rivalry, now I learnt the art of fighting back. when ever he would ambush me and start attacking, I would fight back, hit him against the wall etc. But if I started to shout in pain, I would be told of, this is something I never undertood. My brother would hit and hurt me, I was in pain, and I was the one who got in trouble, it was me who was punished, me who lost his pocket money etc. whilst my brother just sat there laughing, a free man.
Now, my brother wanted to be a graphic designer or something like that, so when he finished school, he went on to the sixth form at my school. Over the two years he was there, he messed about and basiacly waisted his time, and came out of it with not as great results as he expected. Now im in my last year of school, and have some choices to make. I would aso like to go to sixth form, but as my brother didnt do well there, my parents are against me going, im being punished for my brothers mistakes. They keep saying I should do an aprentaship, but thats not for me, as im not sure exactly what I want to do. If I did an aprentaship, I would be trained for a certain job, if it turned out I didnt like that job, I would be stuck.
Why is it we are punished for the mistakes of others or for things we hadnt done?
When I was 6, my sister was born, I got along with her fine, no problems with her, until she got older. I dont know if any of you have little sisters, but how annoying are they? all the time, one cheeky comment after another, she sees things on tv and copies them, and did i mention how cheeky she is?
So as you can see, I am the middle child in my family, which I hate. I dont hate my family, I hate being the middle child. The oldest child gets to each stage in their lives first, so the parents are with them to see what things are like and how there done. then when the other children get to those stages, they will know what to do. The youngest child needs the most looking after and atention, whilst they are growing up. But what about the middel, eh? we just have to follow in the footsteps of the oldest, and we are older enough to look after our selfs, without the aid of parents.
I've got a lot of stories I could tell, 15 years worth actualy, but I have rammbled on enough, so this is the end of my post, but hopefully not the topic. Please tell us about your siblings, any rivalries you have, any stories etc.
