A boy called ICO is born with horns growing from the side of his head, as a sign of evil the villagers lock him away in a far off castle, After having strange dreams about an evil princess he manages to free himself and meet up with this other princess who the evil princess is after to poses her body. Both ICO and the princess speak strange languages and one can't understand the other, you get subtitles for ICO's language and can see what the princess is saying if you play through a second time. You can climb, push blocks, swim, run and pull the princess along by her hand if she gets too slow or if you loose her completly you can call out for her and she'll look for you.
The goal of the game is basically to escape the castle but it's swarmed with weird and wonderfull creatures who you must fight to survive and protect the princess. The in game puzzles are similar to tomb raider's although making you think to progress onwards but everything runs so smoothly. The graphics are immense and the sound consists of the wind and everything you'd hear in a castle basically but because there's little or no music it makes the game feel that little bit more realistic. The game sounds alot like prince of persia but it's hard to compare this to a 16bit platformer from the "dark ages" either way it's looking mighty fine.
Definatly one to look out for ;-)
but how come it is taking so long??
> it has no sound i have heard and MGS2 creator wants a look @ it and DMC before
> he finishes MGS2
The game has sound but has no music whatsoever...THat makes the game more atmospheric apparently
