All the countries in this world are different. You have big ones, small ones, posh ones and countries that are dirty. Each country has their own characteristics and each one is different in one way or another. You never see two identical countries, just like games consoles. Every console that has ever been released is different from the previous way. It may be the capabilities or the colour either way, you never see two identical consoles. It is a fact and that is what makes the games market so intresting..because evrything is different. It would be boring if they were the same and people would soon loose intrest. It think that each console has its country that it is most like. It may the the size, whats in it or anything else which likens itself to a country. Here are my ideas on the console country similarity and the country which each console is most like.
PLAYSTATION 2 - USA
The PS2 was released one year ago and rocked the gaming market. It was completly different from any console ever seen. It was bigger, more powerful and left the rest of the gaming market in its track and it still does today. This may change with the X-BOX and Gamecube coming out in the next year but it will still be one of the best around. It has alot to do and most gamers want to play one even if they already have. It is the console to own at the moment. The USA is the second biggest country in the world and everyone wants to go their on holiday, even if they already have. There is so much to do that you have to go there more than once to experience its true glory. You can go to Disneyland, The Grand Canyon or go splashing the cash in Las Vagus. It keeps you coming back for more, just like the PS2. It is the best holiday destination in the world. The PS2 is the best console in the world at this moment of time.
PSONE - CANADA
The PS1 was released 6 years ago and was a new generation in console gaming. It was completly different from the likes of the Megadrive and Master System. It played better and the graphics were ones that had never been seen on a console before. It sent out millions of gamers buying one and held this title until 1 year ago. The PS2 came out and was the new generation of gaming. It had a massive releaes and left the PS1 in its wake. Since then, the PS1 has not really sent any sparks flying and no great games have been released since the PS2 release. Before the PS2, the PS1 was the console to own with great titles such as Metal Gear Solid and LMA Manager but that is over and the end is nigh for the PS1. Canada is one of the most beautiful, intresting countries in the world. It has quite alot to offer but is constantly shown up by the USA which has the little bit more the Canada doesn't. Canada has a severe lack of visitors because of this and is hugley under estimated, just like the PS1.
NINTENDO 64 - SPAIN
The N64 was the best consoles around when it first came out 5 years ago. It had greater graphics than any other and had some fantastic release games such as Goldeneye which set the gaming industry alight. For the past 2 years, the N64 has greatly underachieved and is now one of the worst consoles around. No great games have been released for a while and it is being forgotten about. No one wants to get an N64 and it is almost embarrassing to own because it is slowley fading away. Spain was the best holiday to go on when the first package holiday was released 30 years ago. It had weather that no Brit had ever experienced and a completly different tradition to what we were used to. It was a new experience and was one for the rich people. Nowadays, it has lost that title and is behind the likes of Austarlia and the USA. It is now just an average holiday. The N64 is an average console.
GBA - UK
When the GBA got released a while ago, it produced an new era in handheld gaming. It has the capabilities of a PS1 but so small that you can take it in the car or on thep plane. It is fund and enjoyable to play with and is great for those people who are not mad about games but enjoy some light entertainment. The UK is one of the smallest estinations in the world. It is not as big as Japan, Russia or even Greenland but it still has alot to offer. There are numerous places of intrest in London like Tower Bridge and Harrods to name a few btu there is also Stonehenge, Buckingham Palace and Brighton Pier which is known worldwide. It does not seem like the best holiday destination because of its size but it has more than meets the eye and is enjoyable and fun for all the family. The GBA is just like this and is just like the UK in this respect.
DREAMCAST - SOUTH AFRICA
The Dreamcast was supposed to be the best console around when it was released 2 years ago but has never really taken off in the world of gaming. It is a consoe that had the expectations that it was going to storm the gaming market. How wrong we were! The Dreamcast has never had a big name game released for it that can truly be called a great game. Shenmue and Crazy Taxi are good but they can't beat the likes of Gran Turismo and SSX. It is a dissapointing machine and already they have stopped being produced. South Africa is one of the biggest countries in the world and is seems like it has alot to offer, but it doesn't. The only place most people have heard of is Cape Town but that has nothing worth the 4 hour plane flight. It is borng and dull, the Dreamcast matches this description.
Many places in the world can be matched with consoles but I think that these are the main ones. They reflect a true comparison and show the same characteristics.
