The following is the first ever ultimate submission match, and it will be for the WWF Forum Championship. The match will last 15 minutes, and whoever makes their opponent tap out the most times, is the victor.
(5…4…3…2…1…BOOM!) And here is the challenger, Y2J Chris Jericho (BBS Scott)! He won a 4-Way Elimination match last week to earn this title shot, and he certainly looks ready.
(Chris Benoit’s music hits) The crowd go wild as the undefeated WWF Forum Champion makes his way to the ring! Last week he successfully defended his title against The Undertaker (Jetster) and he’ll be wanting to achieve that feat once again.
The 2 men step into the ring, the bell sounds, and the clock is ticking. Straight away the lock-up. These guys know each-other very well inside the ring, and I believe this will be a tough match for both of them. Jericho twists around and locks in a waist-hold, but Benoit reverses himself into an arm-lock. Jericho elbows Benoit in the face, and takes him down with a snapmare. Jericho takes advantage and gets a Reverse Chin Lock. It doesn’t seem to be having much effect, and Benoit gets to his feet, and with a couple of jabs to the stomach he’s able to throw T2J into the ropes and nail a hard clothesline.
Benoit drops his leg on Jericho’s arm, and tries to lock in an armbar. Jericho gets to the ropes with his feet, and then uses the ropes to catapult over Benoit, taking the Rabid Wolverine’s arm with him. Jericho keeps a hold of the arm, and he stands up and wrenches it over his head. Oh! Jericho wrenched the arm, and then scored with a sharp kick to the face. As Benoit staggers up, Jericho brings him down again with a hard right-hand, and then another. Clothesline! Jericho has gained momentum here, and he heads up to the middle rope! Missile Dropkick!
2 minutes have gone, 13 left.
Jericho takes Benoit’s already injured arm, and he looks for a Chickenwing Crossface. But Benoit scrambles out, and quickly hits some sort of Jawbreaker, which looked like a less devastating version of the Stunner. Benoit now sits on Jericho’s back, takes his arms and legs and…Mexican Surfboard! Jericho is screaming in pain, and seemingly there’s no way he can reach the ropes! He’s screaming, “I give up! I give up!” The ref signals for the bell to be rung, the first submission goes to Chris Benoit (Grandprix)!!

Jericho slides out of the ring, but Benoit means business and he follows him, grabbing his head and smashing it into the steel steps! Benoit whips him into the security barrier, and steam-rolls towards him, but Y2J moves out of the way, and Benoit flies into the audience! Jericho climbs back into the ring to get his breath back and regain composure. Benoit still hasn’t got up seemingly…I don’t even think he’s there anymore, the cword have mo-there he is! Coming from behind into the ring, he grabs Jericho by the waist, German Suplex! And another! And a final, massive German Suplex! Jericho clutches the back of his head in pain, and Benoit signals for his finisher!
He heads to the top rope, and leaps! He flies through the air like a torpedo and WHAM!! His chin lands straight onto the kidney of Y2J! Benoit staggers to his feet, and like a Wolf quickly goes to finish his prey, locking in the Crippler Crossface! Jericho is in real pain here, he’ll never get to the ropes! Benoit pulls even harder, and Jericho taps again! Ding ding! The second submission goes to Chris Benoit (Grandprix), he leads 2-0.
With only 7 minutes left to go, Benoit smiles, knowing that he has the upper hand here. Benoit is proving why he is an undefeated WWF Forum Champion, and-but Jericho suddenly jumps to his feet, bounces off the ropes and throws himself at Benoit, taking him down with a flying clothesline! Jericho sees Benoit lying on his back, and then catapults himself off the middle rope, LIONSAULT! Jericho goes for a cover, but quickly remembers this is a submissions-only match. Jericho looks for a Figure 4 Leg Lock, but Benoit reverses, kicking Jericho so hard that he falls to the outside, and is left sitting against the security wall. Benoit looks around, seemingly not sure what to do. He bounces off the ropes and sprints towards the other end and…FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!! We’ve seen Benoit do it before, but this time he was successful! He flew himself between the middle and top rope, and his head slammed into the shoulder of Y2J!!
The crowd begin a famous 2-word chant beginning with the word “Holy,” and both men are down.
With 4 and a half minutes left I can’t really see Jericho getting back into this, but he’s certainly trying as he slowly climbs into the ring, with Benoit just behind. Jericho throws some right-hands, which aren’t having much effect, and Benoit ducks one and looks to hit a Backdrop Suplex. But Jericho lands on his feet, and brings down Benoit by his legs, the Walls Of Jericho!! Benoit tries not to tap, but in the end does so, perhaps feeling it’s better for him to last the rest of the match out in not so much pain. Benoit taps, and the third fall goes to Chris Jericho (BBS Scott.)
It’s 2-1 to Grandprix, with 3 minutes to go. Jericho looks for the Walls again, but Benoit reverses, throwing him against the turnbuckle. He thrusts his shoulder deep into Jericho’s stomach, before putting him onto the top rope. Benoit climbs up with him, hooks his arm and BOOM!! Huge superplex! Both men are down again, they’ve gone through a hellacious match and it doesn’t look like they’re going to be getting up soon…
1 minute to go, and finally both wrestlers are on their feet. Jericho is in the driving seat, as he desperately looks to find one more submission. He wrenches Benoit’s arm, and takes it over to the turnbuckle. He climbs to the top rope, and then jumps! He lands on his back, but pulls Benoit over him by the arm! Benoit screams as his arm is almost pulled out of his socket! Jericho keeps a hold of the arm, and has locked in an armbar!! Benoit screams trying not to tap, but Jericho'’ trying to break his arm! BENOIT TAPS! HE TAPS!! It’s 2-2, with 20 seconds left! Jericho grabs Benoit’s legs, he’s got the Walls Of Jericho again! Benoit knows he only needs to last a few seconds more! Benoit taps!! But was it after the zero! Jericho thinks he’s won, he celebrates to the crowd. The referee goes and talks to the match timer, and it looks like they’ve made a decision.
It’s 2-2!! Benoit tapped after the timer had finished! Jericho can’t believe it, he’s shocked he’s not the new WWF Forum Champion. This means we go into a sudden death situation, but it doesn’t look as though Y2J is ready to start wrestling again. He complains to the ref, not seeing Benoit sneak up behind him, grab him by the arm and lock in the Crossface! Jericho taps!
The bell rings, and Benoit quickly slides out of the ring, still the WWF Forum Champion! The referee raises his arm and gives him the belt, and Benoit makes his way backstage. Jericho (BBS Scott) is in the ring is screaming in annoyance, and he hits the ring! He makes to attack the ref, but he’s able to run backstage! After this amazing Ultimate Submission match, Chris Benoit (Grandprix) is still WWF Forum Champion.

I give up!” The ref signals for the bell to be rung, the first submission goes to Chris Benoit (Grandprix)!!

The crowd begin a famous 2-word chant beginning with the word “Holy,” and both men are down.
With 4 and a half minutes left I can’t really see Jericho getting back into this, but he’s certainly trying as he slowly climbs into the ring, with Benoit just behind. Jericho throws some right-hands, which aren’t having much effect, and Benoit ducks one and looks to hit a Backdrop Suplex. But Jericho lands on his feet, and brings down Benoit by his legs, the Walls Of Jericho!! Benoit tries not to tap, but in the end does so, perhaps feeling it’s better for him to last the rest of the match out in not so much pain. Benoit taps, and the third fall goes to Chris Jericho (BBS Scott.)
It’s 2-1 to Grandprix, with 3 minutes to go. Jericho looks for the Walls again, but Benoit reverses, throwing him against the turnbuckle. He thrusts his shoulder deep into Jericho’s stomach, before putting him onto the top rope. Benoit climbs up with him, hooks his arm and BOOM!! Huge superplex! Both men are down again, they’ve gone through a hellacious match and it doesn’t look like they’re going to be getting up soon…
1 minute to go, and finally both wrestlers are on their feet. Jericho is in the driving seat, as he desperately looks to find one more submission. He wrenches Benoit’s arm, and takes it over to the turnbuckle. He climbs to the top rope, and then jumps! He lands on his back, but pulls Benoit over him by the arm! Benoit screams as his arm is almost pulled out of his socket! Jericho keeps a hold of the arm, and has locked in an armbar!! Benoit screams trying not to tap, but Jericho'’ trying to break his arm! BENOIT TAPS! HE TAPS!! It’s 2-2, with 20 seconds left! Jericho grabs Benoit’s legs, he’s got the Walls Of Jericho again! Benoit knows he only needs to last a few seconds more! Five, four, three, two, one, ze-
Benoit taps!! But was it after the zero! Jericho thinks he’s won, he celebrates to the crowd. The referee goes and talks to the match timer, and it looks like they’ve made a decision.
It’s 2-2!! Benoit tapped after the timer had finished! Jericho can’t believe it, he’s shocked he’s not the new WWF Forum Champion. This means we go into a sudden death situation, but it doesn’t look as though Y2J is ready to start wrestling again. He complains to the ref, not seeing Benoit sneak up behind him, grab him by the arm and lock in the Crossface! Jericho taps!
The bell rings, and Benoit quickly slides out of the ring, still the WWF Forum Champion! The referee raises his arm and gives him the belt, and Benoit makes his way backstage. Jericho (BBS Scott) is in the ring is screaming in annoyance, and he hits the ring! He makes to attack the ref, but he’s able to run backstage! After this amazing Ultimate Submission match, Chris Benoit (Grandprix) is still WWF Forum Champion.
