(although, I seem to remember reading about the difficulties Douglas Adams was having with his last book a year or so back (via his alt. forum... apparently it was supposed to be a Dirk Gently novel, but the publishers felt it wasnt 'Dirk Gently' enough to be part of the series... equally, they felt it was too 'Dirk Gently' to be classed as a seperate book?) ...
