"zip drives for PS2"

I've seen in the SR mag this zip drive for the PS2 X-drive zip drive. It says that it connects to the PS2 via the USB port so i was wondering do u think that any other external zip drives would work which connect using the USB port seeing as i have a zip drive i'm not using on my pc at the mo? I was just wondering if any of you ppl would know anything about this.

just give it a go ...what do you have to lose

if it helps (and it probably doesn't), a normal usb iomega zip drive doesn't work

apart from storing saved games there won't be any use for them until u can go online with the ps2

I don't think any other zips drives will work, last i heard iomega were working on one specifically for the PS2, although there is no use for them as yet is there?
