I hope that sometime in the future we will have a really good Warhammer game, Warhammer 40k in particular. Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen are good but allow you little freedom in the choice of your armies. I dont want to fight the Skaven, I want to lead the Skaven. Thanqual (not sure if this is the correct spelling and I cant be bothered looking out my skaven army book) is my favorite Warhammer character, his most famous victory (under my command) is against an army of the undead lead by nagash in which skaven losses totaled to about 3 clan rats (he he he) and undead losses, well their whole army. But on my computer I am stuck being the army I like 2nd least "The Empire" (the Bretonians are the worst). Though the control and order system in the game is much like Shogun: Total War's so this is good and I think it works quite well. I still want to build my own Warhammer Army on my PC though. Warhammer 40k games stink, the only one I have bought is Chaos Gate when it was on budget. Chaos Gate is quite good the graphics are fun and look like the actual models and the turn based gameplay is quite good and brings fond Memories of UFO: Enemy Unknown (X-COM 1). Chaos Gate also has each character (Marine) in the game gaining Experience and making levels to become even more powerful. Chaos Gate is a good game though it does take a long time to play. The other Warhammer 40k games look so crap, Terminators as big as Rhino's, who the hell made this game? I would suggest a monkey on speed! I havent bothered to play the new game, which has something to do with the eldar. The first person one also looks out of date. I want to be able to build my Dark Eldar Army that I have at home and use it to destroy my enemies. What I want is a good Warhammer and Warhammer 40k game which lets you build your own army and choose your race and that is actually playable!
Well i quite like the Empire, but Orcs are better so this is a good idea. I wonder if they could ever do it though because it would mean programming in loads of units. The best way to do it might be the way they made the board game... to have one main pack with about 4 armies and then add the rest with add on packs, just like they did with the army list books (except it was 2 armies and all you got was the basics for a computer game they could easily get 4 full armies i would have thought).
