Actual game.

Why do so many adverts have this?
Most of the time the amount of footage actually from the game is minimal. Anyone else think this is very wrong and gives some people that the crap game they are advertising actually looks good.


I've seen a few adverts a long these lines on tv today and I am sure there are plenty more.

A bit like advertising a strip club without any strippers.

It's what adverts are there for.

They have to make the product at hand look as good as possible and usually FMV is the way to do this.

Then people walk away and go "Oh yes, that looked great I think I may buy it".

From the screenshots it looks actually a hell of a lot like Halo just more pleasing on the eyes.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I may be) but aren't you one of the people out there who lists Halo as one of the best games ever and would like to have sexual intercourse with Master Chief?

Try playing games before you decide on whether they're good or not.

Yea, the Metroid Prime advert. I had saw that before but when I saw it when GS was on, it was the first time I noticed it said it may not be in-game footage.

So when I saw the advert for the first time I thought the game looked great, then I saw the screenshots and it just put a huge downer on it, which is why I think the game looks crud now.

It does more damage to the game than good in my opinion.

Hmmm, but the Prime advert actually had a real actor running around in a Samus suit, and some people may have mistaken that for game footage...

The Harry Potter adverts actually make the game look a bit playable.

The Harry Potter adverts are the worst.
